Hi everyone and Happy Day After Thanksgiving! I hope you all ate well and survived the crush of shoppers on Black Friday today! As for me, I had to work today (and yesterday) but I don't mind. It is an honor to work in healthcare.
Today's card is called Glittered Holly.
I wanted to make some simple cards with a classic feel this year. I am really having fun with my Canyon Brown cardstock (aka "cover'). The color is really rich. I embossed it will a holly pattern and matted it to some green cardstock and a red card base.
(As you can see, I am still working on my flash!)
Close Up!
Here is the close up of the punched window and Tim's Holly Movers and Shapers die cut. I added the button (also a Tim special) instead of the traditional red berries. I almost used a pearl heart bead which I think would also have looked good. Hey! It would be very cool for Valentine's Day!
I thought that the lower right needed some balance in the upper left of my card. I took some red and green glitter glue and highlighted part of the embossed pattern. I almost went and did the whole card. But I really like the accent as it is.

I hope you liked this simple but elegant card. I hope it inspires you to make one of your own!
