Happy Holidays Snowflake card

WOW!  Is it the middle of November already? Where did the year go?  I barely got out a few Halloween cards before I started on my Christmas cards.  This year has been so fast!

Today's card has a snowflake theme.

 Materials:
  • Dark Blue suede paper
  • Gold Line Dazzles (Hot off the Press)
  • Snowflake die by Frantic Stamper
  • Happy Holidays Die by Frantic stamper
  • Blue holographic snowflake card by Hot off the Press

The snowflake die by Frantic Stamper is an interesting one.  Its inverted which means that it will cut out the design within the card front.  It won't cut out a separate die cut.

I made an A2 size card (4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inches) and placed my die on the inside with the cut blades facing p.  This cut the design into my card front.

I backed my card front with dark blue suede paper. This would have also looked good with red glitter paper.  I used the die again on some blue holographic paper and cut out one of the snowflakes and layered it onto my card.  I added a light blue jewel to the center.  I also cut out a Happy Holidays from silver foil card and used mounting tape to add it to the lower right.

All the little gold accents you see on my snowflakes came from the extra bits and pieces from my stickers.  You know - that extra stuff that is left after you use the sticker?

Here is a side view of my card.

Saint Nicholas Card

I am fascinated that there are so many different "santas".  I especially love the Victorian Santas. So, my card today:

I wanted a simple front and chose some Sizzlits paper in dark green over an ivory card base.  The frames are light weight and something I've hung on to for years waiting for the right moment to use them.

I added a simple grosgrain ivory ribbon and decorated it with some holly and berries.  The berries are bling and the holly leaves I cut from green glitter and gold crepe paper (Yes, there is such a thing!  Go to Castle in the Air.  They have crepe paper in so many colors. The metallics are incredible.)

I used Frantic Stamper Precision Die Holly Leaves and Berries to die cut my leaves.

I hope you enjoyed my card~!

Merry Christmas from Santa Card

Today's card is a simple Christmas card I made using Bo Bunny Papers.

Materials:
  • Bo Bunny Christmas Paper
  • Frantic Stamper Dies (Reverse Snowflake panel, Merry Christmas word die)

I try to challenge myself to use the scrapbook papers with the big designs on them.  They are really beautiful but usually too large for the size cards I make.  I decided to make a quick card using the Santa sleigh and reindeer .  I cu it to size and added it to a plain white card base.

I added some leftover blue holographic snowflake die cuts.  This was a panel but I cut them out in pieces so that I could put them on the card where I wanted.

I also cut out a greeting in silver glossy card and added that last.

Here's a side view.
