Two Elegant but Simple Christmas Cards in Black and White

I have crafted two elegant Christmas cards for today.  I used my new EK Success Christmas bulb punch for each one. (I am really crazy for this punch.  It is very simple and elegant.)

The first card is very simple with a white card base, silver glossy, black suede paper and silver glitter card.

The second card includes a sentiment stamped in red. It reminds me of Art Deco design.

All Good Wishes Christmas Card

Hi Happy Sunday to you all.  Can you believe that Thanksgiving is just around the corner? FOUR DAYS AWAY!  Just four days!  The year has gone amazingly fast this year.

I wanted share a pretty Christmas card that I made last night.  I started with a white card base.  The layers are silver glossy (not embossed), black suede paper, silver glossy embossed with snowflakes.  I punched out four Christmas lights in glitter card stock (Michaels is carrying their Recollections 12 x 12 with just glitter card stock.  They came out with one with just the Christmas colors which was fabulous for me. (I always wait for the 40% off coupons and sales.)

I punched out four colors of bulbs and then punched out just the base in black suede paper and glued the two together.  I added some green/white bakers twine.

I stamped my sentiment on white card (I used one of the new Tim Holtz stamp sets).  I cut out the stamped image and then edged it with a silver krylon pen.  Then I back it in black suede paper and cut it out again leaving a 1/8 inch border.  I mounted this on my card with mounting tape.
