Two Valentine Cards!

Hi everyone!

As promised, I am sharing another two Valentine cards with you.  I hope that you can use the designs for other cards too.

My first card is quite plain.  I bought a Martha Stewart heart punch and wanted to do some cards with it.  The finished punch is really pretty but is large at about 1.5 x 1.5 inches.
I decorated the bottom of my card by punching a border design and then using the holes as guides and filling them with bling and pearls.  Cool, huh?

I used the design of the punched border to thread a deep pink satin ribbon through.  To get the ribbon evenly on the front of my card I started by putting my bow in the middle of the card and threading left and right from the center.

Doily Card

I really like doilies.  And I like using them on my cards. Doilies really give a delicate feminine feel to any card they are used on.  Think about flowers or snowflakes.

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Valentines Day

Hi Everyone!  I hope that you celebrated Valentine's Day with your loved ones last week.  I'm a bit late with this card (and one tomorrow!).  But I did want to share this with you.

I started out wanting to do a traditional Victorian valentine but ended up with something a bit different! Sometimes our art takes us to places that surprise us!

My card below reminds me of a pocket of hearts.

I used the following products.  The cling stamp (Newspaper Heart) is from Hero Arts.  I saw it in the catalog and had to have it.  I used Festive Berries as my red ink even though it came out for Christmas.

I added ink to my embossed triangle pocket. The bow is actually yarn that I bought a while back in gold.

I colored the edges of the hearts to give more dimension.

I added this little "14" cardstock sticker to represent February 14th!

I hope you enjoyed my Valentine Card!
