ATC- Time and Space

I love ATCs.  They are a compact little piece of art!  "Officially" an ATC is 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches (there are also other sizes like "inchies" too.)
I started by cutting a piece of white smooth card stock to the "official" size. I had some stamps with geometric patterns and chose one with squares.  I stamped this using Staz-On black.  Then I stamped a small clock and a postcard image with Rusty Hinge Distress Ink.  I added some red Stickles glitter glue to a few squares, added some tissue tape and finally added a small post card which I covered in Glossy Accents.  I edged my ATC with Vintage Photo.

A Loving Heart - an ATC

Loving Heart
by Lis Whiting

I've been making ATC's (Artist Trading Cards) lately and wanted to share one with you today. I started with my message which also guided me to my color scheme.

I backed my message on gold glossy and also used some German scrap to highlight the message. I wanted to use some lace because it gives a wonderful vintage feel.  I added some pink because these types of sayings come from mom.

The embossed "KINGS" for me symbolizes that this wisdom is good for everyone, even kings.

Take care, Lis

Lost - an ATC

Sometimes it takes very little to make an ATC.  It's really all in the message.

I started with a piece of black cardstock which I ran through my corrugator.  I added a border punch and a label with a single word.  The only other thing I added was the letter. (Oh yes, and the single bling in the lower right.)

I love this little letter embellishment.

Two ATCs: Mom and a Buffalo

I have some handmade papers and wanted to use them in some ATCs.  The paper I used for my first ATC is a burnished gold with a small flower detail.  I added the purple cardstock (it's glimmer) as an accent.

I added an embossed hexagon with a steampunk element and a tag with a buffalo on it (What can I say? I like buffalo.)

I used a rub on to add to my background.  I also used the new Viva Decor Pearl Pens for the pearl dots.

This is my second ATC.  My mom passed away a couple of years ago.  This collage picture reminds me of how she looked when she was younger.

I used a pale pink cardstock and some handmade paper in bright colors.  I added the gold punched border and a small embellishment at the top.

I like the way the brass ribbon slide looks against the royal purple.

Come back again next week for some more ATCs.

Easter Hare ATC

I have an ATC for Easter that I would like to share.

Close Up!

I added some little flowers behind the grass and a big red heart! I hand cut the grass.

Happy Easter everyone!

The House that Steampunk Built

Every once in a while I do some ATC's.  I really love making them. I just don't seem to have a lot of time though.   (I work at a hospital and we are opening a new tower - actually in the process of opening it dept by dept.  I am involved in each opening so have been very popular!  I love where I work and the people I work with).

Anyway, made this ATC with a gear chimney and angel wing portal.  And what's a house without a mouse?

Enjoy!

ATC - Infinity

I love doing ATC's.  The challenge is fitting all my ideas onto one little piece of paper!

For the ATC below I wanted to use some of the sticky canvas that Ranger has.  I adhered it to some scrap cardstock I had lying around.  I decorated the front with some stamps (I love the hand one on the right) but I think I should have used a darker ink as these don't show well.

I wanted an infinity sign but didnt have any so I used the number "8" on its side!  I added the star stick pin as part of the attachment.

Close Up!

In the close up below you can see the border I made. I used purple suede paper some alpha stickers (from a Halloween kit), a brad and a charm.

Karma ... an ATC

I really like ATC's. They are such little works of art. I am always surprised by how unique each piece is that I see when Im online or at a trade.

Today's ATC is called Karma.

I used some sticky canvas from Ranger as my base.  I used distress ink (kind of looks like this atc has been in the mud!).  Under the star pin and the infinity sign (actually an "8" sideways....well I was desperate~!) you can kind of see a hand.  I have this hand stamp with symbols on it.

Close Up!

I really like Tim Holtz' brads that you can make.  I love the designs.  I actually used Halloween letters to spell out Karma.

I'm always looking for unique pins.  This one is a plastic star...very pretty.

I love keys and key holes.  This is a small stamp but very ornate.  It's not very clear because I stamped it onto canvas.
