Three Flowers Card
Items Used:
- Tonic Verso dies
- Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen-green
- Green gems
- Drab green organza ribbon
- White card
This is actually a brightly colored card. I think I didn't get enough light on my card to get a decent picture.
I just got some "verso" dies from Tonic. These are dies that can cut into the paper or cut out something from paper. I was really intrigued by the former so I got a set from Create and Craft (my new favorite channel to watch).
I cut the flowers into the card and backed them with silk foiled card in different colors. (Tonic gives you an outline die in case you want to cut the flower out and have a die cut. The dies are fairly intricate. They cut very nicely.
I didn't do a very good job making leaves though...LOL. I should have cut some out instead of trying to paint them on. I have a pretty picture in my mind of what I want to do - sometimes the hands don't follow the mind!
A last look...

Blue Butterfly Card
Hi all,
This is my very first foray into 8 x 8 cards. I've been watching Create and Craft on my PC and it seems that everyone in Europe makes cards that are 7 x 7 o 8 x 8. So, I wanted to give it a whirl. I wasn't sure that I would have enough stuff and ideas to fill up such a large card.
Items Used:
Although this looks like I matted and layered it, its all one picture.
Close up of the bow and ticket embellishments.
A last look.
I hope that I did ok! Did you like it?
Thanks for any comments, I always appreciate them.

Pink Believe in Yourself Card
Hi everyone!
It's funny how I start with one plan to make a card and end up making something different. Does that ever happen to you? I had wanted to make an Easter card (that's how long it's been that this card has been under construction).

- Anna Griffin patterned paper, sentiment & die cut
- Pink shimmer adorable scorable card (Hunkydory)
- Sizzix embossing folder
- Lime green glitter tape
- after I added the glitter tape, it was very bright so I added the pearl string over top of it. It still let the green show through, just not quite so much!

Get Well Friend - a card
Hi all,
This is a quick post today. I mad this card for a friend.
Items used:
For those of you who are Downton Abbey fans, Crafters Companion has come out with two series of dies from Downton Abbey (also embossing folders and papers). I love the style of these. I used the car because my friend has a sports car that he loves and drives it with the top down.
The card was easy to make as I only layered the various items.
Thanks for stopping by,
Lis

Bluebirds in Gold - a card
Hi all,
Today's card is a pretty collage card.
I made this card using several leftover pieces from other projects. I like to cut an extra one or two items in case I destroy the ones I'm using. Sometimes I have leftovers.
Items used:
I punched the birds from silver glitter paper and colored them with alcohol markers
Have a great day!

Birthday Butterflies Card
Hi all,
Today's card is a little different with a two-page front.
- Patterned paper - Maja Designs
- German scrap - gold border
- Paper Tole Butterflies and frame - Hot Off the Press
- Gold Foiled Acetate - Kanban (Create and Craft)
- Rubber stamps - Hampton Arts
- Red line or wonder tape
- I covered my card front (card measures 5 x 6 1/2) with patterned paper
- I prepared my acetate so that I could put it on my card without attaching it so that I could position the gold foil borders correctly
- I added the vertical gold foil border
- I stamped the tea pots border with distress ink in dark purple
- I stamped the tea cups so that the paper tole would cover them. The person receiving this card (my sister) will open the first page and see the tea cups.
- I added the horizontal gold foil border
- I stamped the inside with a sentiment "Where there is tea there is love"
- My last step is attaching the acetate to my card
- I took a piece of acetate and added about 3/4 inch additional (horizontal measurement) to the size of the card.
- I scored it on the left.
- I added red line tape (very sticky and strong clear double sided tape) to the back of the small scored side (left)
- I added this to my card and attached it to the left backside. (NOTE: I did this AFTER I finished the card front.)
- I added the paper tole to the right side of the acetate

Lis

Thinking of You Card
Today's card is a fun style that I like to make every now and then with washi tape. I took a variety of washi tapes and started adding them to a plain white card (5 x 6 1/2). I didn't weave them. I just added and overlapped them.
Items:
- Variety of washi tape
- Fancy Foils Steampunk by Hot off the Press
- Thinking of You stamp by Hampton Arts
- Black StazOn Ink
- Green jewels and pearls (Bo Bunny)
- Gold Paint Pen
(The picture above doesn't show the gold very well. It looks washed out but it is a rich gold color.)
I stamped the sentiment onto some collage paper and then cut it out and edged it in gold.
Thanks for stopping by, Lils
