I've been trying to decide what to do with the Alternating Diagonal Card Panel. I wanted to use a couple of different colors on it and that is what started this card.
I started by cutting two full panels: one in red and the other in a grey pattern. I cut two parts of the grey panel off and then glued the rest onto my whole red one. Although this looks difficult because of the detail of the die cut, it was really easy. All I did was use glue stick - lined the edges and went lightly across the diagonal stripes.
I used a very muted stamp collage from Tim Holtz as my backing. But something was still missing! I die cut the vine card panel from gold glossy and added that underneath the alternating diagonal. It actually looks really cool because as you tilt the card back and forth the gold shines through.
I adhered all the layers onto dark brown card which I then glued to my card base (white). I added my wings in gold foil and my "Thanks" in silver glitter. I used pearls for the butterfly body.
This card makes a bold statement and is a feast for the eyes too!Lis
