Good Morning to you all. I woke up this morning to a thunder storm complete with rumbling. I live in southern California and we don't get many (if any) thunder storms. I grew up in upstate New York and we had thunderstorms all the time. So this was a very welcome change to the recent hot weather. And it felt like home for a little while.
Today's cards are quick and easy to make.
DressForm -
I used a Sizzix Tim Holtz die for this. I was going to ink it but liked it plain so I left it as is. I lined the right side with gold ink from Smooch. I like the buttons and gold wing (cut from an embossed piece of gold glossy). You can stamp a sentiment in the empty space or add flowers. I think next time I may stamp a pattern on the dress form.
Glitter Bird - The bird is another die cut from one of the Tim Holtz Sizzix dies (the one with the birdcage). I added glitter to the entire bird (Its really sparkly in real life. The camera doesn't capture this well.) I painted the branch with copper Smooch. I added some yarn and a silk ribbon and done! What could be easier?
Flamingo and Palm - I chose a corner of a scrapbook paper that had this pretty swirl design and used that as my mat. I had purchased these glitter flamingos and palms from Michael line Remembrance (I couldn't resist the flamingos!) I added some bling and pearls and done! I think this one could use some ribbon so I will go back before sending this one to my dad and add that.
Hope you all have a good day.
Lis
