Happy Valentine's Day Card

Hi everyone!

Hope your weekend was great!  Today I have a Valentine's card that I made for you.

Items used:
  • Diamond Design Pink ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon.com
  • Tim Holtz Glitter Dust, Mahogany Distressed Glitter glue
  • Pink Doily - heart shaped
  • Happy Valentine Dies
  • Pink shimmer card with embossed dot
  • Pink satin foil card embossed Rose pattern (Anna Griffin)
  • Three Cherubs - Tim Holtz Seasonal Stickers
  • Flowers - Anna Griffin
  • White Pearls - Michaels
This card started where I work.  One of the supervisors there brought in these red and pink hert shaped doilies and we all took one to decorate and post on a board.  So, I made a card out of mine (yes, I took it home first!)

I really enjoyed using Tim Holtz new Distress Glitter.  It has a beautiful antique-y color and sparkles A LOT!  I cut out my words onto pink card.  Then I used a liquid glue on the front to attach the glitter.

I put some glitter on the loops of the paper flower collage.  I added some mahogany glitter glue - although I don't know why.  It looks pretty good.

You can get a good view of the satin foiled card and shimmer card I used to mat my card.  I love using foiled card because it picks up the embossing swell.

I hope that you enjoyed my Valentine card!  Thanks for stopping by!

Keep Calm and Adjust Your Tiara -a Card

Today's card is a collage card.

Items used:
  • Anna Griffin paper
  • Martha Stewart Deep Edger Punch
  • Journaling Card from Bo Bunny
  • Little girl photo from Tim Holtz Found Relatives
  • Silver shimmer ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon
  • Paper Flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts
  • White adhesive pearls
I started my card with the journaling card and built my card up from there. I'm still in a pink phase (good for me that the Pantone colors this year are pink and blue pastels -I think?).  I love the ribbon.

I bought it on a whim and its turned out to be a keeper for me. It is silverfish white with the occasional sparkle in it.  It takes coloring well without giving up anything.

I puncher out two borders and placed them together to get the center band on my card. I layered the rest.  I didn't use any foam tape.

Take care ,
Lis
