Today I would like to share a technique for using those small Journaling spiral notebooks that one uses for scrapbooking. Over the next few weeks I will be using different ones to show you how you can incorporate these into cards.
1. I chose the two different journaling notebooks below. The Spiral bound red one is from Making Memories. The black one behind it comes in a pad and is made by Hot Off the Press.
3. For my first card, I chose the HOTP die cut paper. The page itself measures about 6 inches across so I used white card stock and created a card measuring 6 x 5 1/2 inches.
4. I covered the front of my card with gold ripple holographic paper (also HOTP).
5. Then I attached my page with glue tape.
6. I wanted to add flowers to my card front. I wanted green leaves so I took a green flower and...
...cut it into thirds.
7. The flowers and the leaves were attached with glue dots. I added a yellow/green ribbon and bow, and added my word "Bonjour" also cut from the gold ripple paper.
Here are some close ups of my card!
I love the way the green "leaves" are tucked under the ribbon.
These flowers come in little boxes and right now they are in the Bargain Bin at Frantic Stamper on pages 4, 11 and 12.
Isn't this die cut beautiful? It is from Frantic Stamper. I love the swirly "B"!
I hope you enjoyed my card. Stay tuned from some others that I will be bringing you in the upcoming weeks!
Thanks, Lis
