It is a sad day today that the world has lost a great woman, Queen Elizabeth II of England.

Queen Elizabeth has lived an incredible and historic life and has influenced countries and people around the world. I think of the history she has lived, and that we have only read in books. Her steadfastness and dedication are lessons for us all.

My thoughts and prayers go out to her family.

Hello Dear Friends,

Today's card features one of my favorite styles, collage.  I love old timey, Victorian things, so collage is perfect for bringing together found items.

I have been wanting to use a Nellie Snellen die set that I have. It has a large ticket and a mat, and some little bunting dies.

I cut the "ticket" from kraft cardstock and layered it with gold mirror card. I added a 2nd mat from Tim Holtz Backdrop papers.

I added some ephemera to my card. The circle and the middle ticket were adhered with foam squares. I added chitchat words as my sentiment.
I tied a jute twine in a dark brown around my card. I added the rose charm (Crafts Companion) and the little butterfly (Vellum) in the lower left.
