Love You Card

Love You Card

Hi everyone,

I hope that you are all doing well!

This card is a standard 5 x 7 inches made with white cardstock.

  • I matted my card base with a dark green satin finish mirror card, then with a piece of Anna Griffin pattern paper. I think this came from the Pastoral collection.
  • Anna Griffin also made a set of border strips. I used one of them here and matted it with the same green card.
  • I used the Tonic Studios-Loaded Pockets-Oval Embroidery Hoop die set (middle one) and die cut the oval in a satin finish gold.
    • It is layered with a pale green pearlescent oval.
  • I used sentiment stickers from Paper Wishes (I cut two different ones apart to get the "love" and the "you".
    • I added them on the curve of the oval.
  • I used one of the AG 3 dimensional flowers and adhered this in the center of the die cut. I adhered this to my card with foam pads.
  • I made a bow with long tails from Vanilla Satin Ribbon (Tonic Studios). I attached it with glue dots.
    • I arranged the tails so that they would ruffle. I used glue dots on the underside of the tails to achieve this.
  • I used some dark green pearls from Hunkydory to decorate.
  • I used some clear drops from Cadence Liquid Jewelry on the oval and on the border strip.
    • I realize that these drops are clear and hard to see but they do add some interest.

Hello Card with Silver Accents

Hello Card with Silver Accents

Hi dear friends!

Did you have a good July 4th holiday?  Have a barbeque?  Hope you had fun!

Today's card includes one of my favorite things to accent cards - Dazzles by Paper Wishes.  Theses stickers come in all shapes and colors. I like the thin line dazzles best because I can use them as an accent like below, edge a card and so on. (Disclaimer: I have not been given any "free" product. I just like using them and have for years and years.)

This is a standard A2 size card made with a deep blue cardstock, then layered with patterned paper (AG).
I made some 1/4 inch and 1/8-inch strips of the blue card and the other strip come from one of AG's border strips (I cut it up.). I glued the strips to the patterned paper starting diagonally. I alternated between the blue card and the patterned strips. I trimmed the overhang. I added some silver Thin Line Dazzles, one on either side of the set of strips. I trimmed this also.
I adhered the piece to my card base.
I chose some other silver Thin Line Dazzles and added them top and bottom of my card, trimming as I went.
I created a silver mirror card square for my sentiment. I used a corner rounder to round the corners on my silver square. I added the HELLO which was cut from some blue mirror card I had. The sentiment was adhered to the silver backing and then this piece was added to my card with foam squares.

You can see me holding my phone to take a picture of my card in the reflection of the silver. The reason I am holding the card is, so my pajamas don't get reflected too. Yikes!
