Drink from the Cup.... a Halloween Card

Hi everyone! Yup, I'm still here! I'jut gotten over yet another bad cold. (And yes I got my flu shot as soon as I was well enough.) This year has really been tough for colds and viruses. Wow! I hope that you are all well!
Today's card is a quick little Halloween card using some of my new favorite dies from Frantic Stamper. I love this little cup. It is actually a set and comes with a wine bottle but I thought it would make a nice Halloween cup too.
I die cut the cup from black card stock and then again from red ripple holographic card stock. (Frantic stamper also carries this. It comes from Hot off the Press and its my new love!)
I cut out the center of the cup and the top with an xacto knife and then layered the red behind it. I cut the red stem and base off because it made it easier to glue it all together (less to line up you know). I added green Dazzles for the "bubbles". Any kind of scary background Halloween paper can be used for the card background.
Thanks for stopping by!

Miss You!

Sorry I have been MIA lately. I'm still getting over my latest cold. But I am feeling better. I wanted to share this card with you that I made for my dad. My dad is 95 years old and still going strong! He is a veteran of World War II and fought in Italy and Africa. He has shared one or two experiences with me including visiting Pmpeii and climbing the dome to the top of some church to see the Pope. He is quite the adventurer.

My card today honors him. I used the Frantic Stamper Eagle's Head die but used the negative space. I placed some of Tim Holtz's embossed seasonal paper behind it (Fourth of July). I added a wooden accent (so popular!) and stamped my sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by, Lis
