Two Roses Card

Two Roses Card
by Lis Whiting

I love the way this Vertical Rose stamp (from Fran's own line!) turned out.  It was such a beautiful stamp I didn't want to distract from it with too much other stuff. So, I started with an ivory card base, an embossed ivory mat and my roses stamp.  After coloring I cut away the white background within the stamp which left the roses, leaves and border (don't you just love that border?). I used an xacto knife and took my time.

I decided to add just a bit of bling at the bottom. It looks a bit likes draping, don't you think?

This could be a birthday card or any note card that one would send to friend or family.

Swing!

Today's card is a playful card that can be used as a birthday card  (any celebration really).  The card is one of those that you can buy in a pack and reminiscent of pages in an old first grade primer.  I edged the card in brown and adhered with mounting tape.

Close Up!

I bought a punch (one of those squeeze punches - they sell them sometimes in series and this was one of them - the punch was blue).  So, this punches out a design that you can then fold into a pinwheel. Isn't that cool?  The pinwheel is about 1 1/2 inches from point to point.  It's small enough that it does take a tiny bit of patience (pun intended) to fold it.  You can mount them so that they spin (this one doesn't).  They are very cute!

See ya tomorrow!

Sea Clams Card

Sea Life
by Lis Whiting

I started out with this really pretty Frantic Stamper stamp of shells and sea grass.  It was a lot of fun to color.  There are so many possibilities with this stamp.  I decided to mat it with gold glossy. I decided to use some blue ripple card stock to mimic the ocean waves. (I really love this color blue, it's so pretty!) I added ribbon and some pearls scattered about and done!

I hope you enjoyed my card. Stop by again soon!
