Spring! - a card

Today's card features a painted metal flower cut from a soda can with the Tattered Florals Sizzix Die.

Close Up!

I love the coverage that the Ranger Distress Paint gives!  It looks like enamel.

I added some bling instead of leaves.

I took a few of the cut outs and replaced them in the opposite colors .

I hope you enjoyed my Spring cards!

Wonderful You - Spring Card

I've been working with soda can metal lately and have two Spring Cards to share today and tomorrow.

Card for today is: Wonderful You

Base card is white cardstock and light green mat.

Close Up!

I used the Tattered Floral Die from Sizzix (Tim Holtz) and Distress Paints from Ranger to color them. (Yes, the paint works well on metal! Yea!)

I've been using pieces of patterned paper that have designs or labels in them and cutting them out and using them. I matted this on yellow card stock.

I have this stamp that is the numbers from 0-9.  I stamped it twice as a background for the flower.

Hope you liked my card. Stop by tomorrow for the other one!

Quick Torn Paper Card

I love using torn paper on my cards.  The card below I made a while ago but never showed it.  Its a very basic card. The bright colors seem to go well with Spring.

Only You - A card you can make in ten minutes

I wanted to make a simple card for my sister.  I started out with patterned paper that I matted onto navy cardstock. I took a coordinating paper and cut a strip to add to my card.

Close Up!

I matted the cut out tag onto gold glossy.  I hand cut the border.  The design and "YOU" came from a rub on.

Don't you just love this rose ribbon?

The House that Steampunk Built

Every once in a while I do some ATC's.  I really love making them. I just don't seem to have a lot of time though.   (I work at a hospital and we are opening a new tower - actually in the process of opening it dept by dept.  I am involved in each opening so have been very popular!  I love where I work and the people I work with).

Anyway, made this ATC with a gear chimney and angel wing portal.  And what's a house without a mouse?

Enjoy!

ATC - Infinity

I love doing ATC's.  The challenge is fitting all my ideas onto one little piece of paper!

For the ATC below I wanted to use some of the sticky canvas that Ranger has.  I adhered it to some scrap cardstock I had lying around.  I decorated the front with some stamps (I love the hand one on the right) but I think I should have used a darker ink as these don't show well.

I wanted an infinity sign but didnt have any so I used the number "8" on its side!  I added the star stick pin as part of the attachment.

Close Up!

In the close up below you can see the border I made. I used purple suede paper some alpha stickers (from a Halloween kit), a brad and a charm.

Three Lilies

Hi and Happy Sunday to you all!

Today's card is another card using Frantic Stamper rubber stamps.  I like this stamp because it has a look of stained glass.  I stamped the image onto white card stock with Staz On black and colored it with Glaze, Sparkle and Metallic pens.  All I did to finish it off was add the ribbon.

Close Up!

I like the way the different pens look like embossing.  I also traced the outline with a sparkle pen.

I hope that you try out some coloring projects too. They are fun!

Eiffel

Hi and Happy Saturday!

I was working with Frantic Stamper dies the other day and cut out the 3 square and 1 rectangle image used on the card below.  I decided to emboss writing on the card because it looked too blank with just the window pattern.
I added some pattern paper with the Eiffel Tower showing through.  I added the pink flowers to complete it.

As I look at my card I think I may go back and put a gold border around the windows...

Sally

Hi!  Today's card is another that I made for my sister (I really did a bad thing so I needed more than one card to apologize...!)

I wanted to do something unexpected today.  I started with shiny metallic and modern card stock and made a 4 x 10 card.  My card base was plain white card stock.  I added washi tape and buttons and finished off with a metal charm.

Close Up!

Here you can see the collage I made with the washi tape and buttons.

I attached the charm with a pop dot.  To make the charm I printed the image onto sticky back canvas (Claudine Hellmuth).  I cut out the image and added it to the metal charm and covered with an epoxy sticker.  I added one little white gem to the lower corner.  It doesn't show very well in these pictures but you can clearly see the texture of the canvas on the charm which I like.

Thanks and stop by again soon!

Admit One ...to your heart

Hi everyone!  Today's card was one that I made for my sister.  It's a simple white card stock base with bling.  (I saw this strip of bling and really wanted to try it out.)  The Admit One ticket was embossed on mylar sheet (this is stiff like card stock) and cut out (Tim Holtz embossing folder).  The pink flamingo cameo (I LOVE this!) is from Frantic stamper (if you like cameos you shouldreally check them out. She has a great variety and they are all just gorgeous. Click HERE if you are curious.)

Close Up!

Here's the cameo!
