Key Collage Card

I love collage.  It's like wrapping myself in my favorite things, and they all tell a story. I hope you enjoy this card!

You can really see the 3-dimensional nature of this card from the side.

Close Up!
I love this trim!

A little touch of bling!

Go to http://www.franticstamper.com/ to buy these cameos!  They are gorgeous and come in many different styles and colors.

I like to wrap flowers around keys.  Makes a nice accent.

Come back soon!

Blue Velvet Collage Card

I have really been into suede paper lately.  This kind of paper can be punched and cut (or even torn) like regular cardstock but it looks and feels a bit like suede.  It does feel like suede on top.  This paper is not stiff.

Blue Velvet
I like the way this card came out. It looks like the top of someone's writing desk.

Close Up!

I couldn't resist taking some close up shots of this marvelous cameo.  It is madeomay not want to look - you'll go crazy for their variety and how pretty they are!) This one is blue with three white cherubs.

You can really see how three-dimensional it is. (I outlined the side in gold.)

Don't you just love pen nibs?

And finally the tag!  I added the stamp and underlined with gems.

I hope you stop by Fran's to see the cameos.  They are really gorgeous!  AND try out some suede paper.  It's wonderful too!

Take care, Lis

Love Banner Card

I have these punches from Epiphany Crafts.  They come with epoxy bubbles and are used to create embellishments. I must say that I'm hooked!  I especially love the banner punch.  I cant think of many punches out there on the market that are banner punches.  And you can use these just as punches.  Very cool!

To create my banner, I started out with a pretty pink patterned paper. I added the letters and then the bubble before I punched out the banner.

I added the banner to my tag which I attached to my card with mounting tape. I added random pink pearls along the bottom punched border.
 Close Up!

Isn't this just so pretty?

I added some bakers twine in lemon yellow.

I do love pearls!

Come back soon!

Wild Flower Card

Happy July!  Soon to be Independence Day in the United States!

I love the countryside.  I think that the USA has some gorgeous countryside to be seen.  When I was a child my dad took the family all over the US and I got to see so much. I will always be grateful to him for that.

My card today is a sweet card made with a Prima flower and flower dazzles.

What are flower dazzles you ask?  They are stickers and come on a sheet.  If you are interested in looking, you can see them on http://www.paperwishes.com/.  I don't receive anything from this company to mention their products (actually I don't receive anything - if I do I will always mention it in my write ups).

What is so cool about them is 1-there are a lot of them on a sheet and 2- they are small and stackable so are just right for smaller work like A2 cards!

Dazzles come in a number of colors including gold and silver and also holographic colors like red and purple.

Close Up!

Here is a close up of a two layered dazzle flower.

Here is a dazzle flower in the upper right corner.

Hope you enjoyed today's card.  Happy July!  Be safe!

Vase with White Roses

There are so many little embellishments on the market today!  And they are all so cute!  I found these white plastic vases at Michaels the other day and thought they would make a good card decoration.

You can really get a good look at the dimension of the card here. I added the vase with mounting tape even though it is already dimensional.

Close Up!

(darn that yellow color!)

I used the epiphany crafts banner punch to make my little epoxy banners. I used bakers twine in lime to "string" them.

(ahh....the right color again)
I love the little paper roses.

I was tempted to use my alcohol inks to color the vase but decided to leave it the color it is.
Hope you enjoyed my card.  Be inspired!

Spirit of the past

I found this scrapbook paper and decided that it would be my card base.  I was able to cut it out so that the wording showed on the front.  I wanted to brighten it up so I took a sticker frame and cut out the center.  I substituted a really brightly colored cardstock of flowers.

The frame comes from  K&Company of course and the pearls are already attached!

Close Up!
I've really been enjoying these Epiphany Crafts punches that make epoxy embellishments.

I added glitter glue to the centers of my flowers.

Thanks for stopping by!

Sail Away

Some of the scrapbooking papers are so beautiful but the images are large.  I like to cut the images up and use them on my cards.

I used some gold dazzles to create a border around my card.  I stamped "travels" in the upper right.

Close Up!

I really love this bling.  It reminds me of the winds blowing.

I hope you enjoyed today's card!

Flip It Birdcage Card

Hi!  Today's card has an old fashioned look to it.  I used kraft cardstock to make the card base, some wooden buttons, some Tim Holtz paper and some gold accents.

Inside:

I really like the way the inside turned out.  I love the white rose and music paper background.

This is a great example of the room you have to write a message without the writing showing when the card is closed.

Close Up!
I took some buttons that I got on sale (you have to love a 50% off sale!).  I glued them down and then added the white pearls.

I took some tissue tape and decorated the border of my card.  I used an xacto blade to miter the corners for a neater look.

I hope you enjoyed today's card!  Thanks for stopping by!

Flip It Daisy Card

I recently have been using Dazzles stickers.  You know the ones that are the gold or silver outlines stickers?  They have these lines you can buy and I used some gold ones on the card below.  They make an easy and elegant accent.

This card is really basic.  I wanted something simple and classic.

 Inside:
I like the simplicity of this card.  One thing though, there is only a small space to write a note without seeing the printing when the card is closed (stop by tomorrow for an example).

Hope you liked my card, stop by again soon!

Flip It Cards! Flip it Butterfly Card

Today I would like to introduce my very first flip it card!  What is a flip it? It is a card that, when you open it, the front flips to show a different design or picture.  Flip It cards are not new and have been around for a long time. What is new is the Sizzix die that will easily cut one for you!  Yahoo!

Flip it Butterfly:

(You will have to pardon the bad stamping.  Sometimes my ideas don't come out! LOL! )

As you can see on the front of the card, there is a square that I have decorated.

The Inside:
When I open the card, you can see the back side of the square and a different design.

Click HERE for a quick video explanation of the card's movement.

Another look at the folds of the card:

Come back tomorrow for another flip it card!

Uncle Sam Wants You! Card

Today's card features a famous icon...Uncle Sam!  There actually was an Uncle Sam who lived in Troy New York (I know this because I lived there too!)  This image was and still is used, amazing isn't it.

The Uncle Sam sticker is from K&Company (of course). The flowers on each side are Dazzles from Paper Wishes.

You can really see the 3-D sticker in this side view.  I also used gold Dazzle stickers (the gold lines) to further outline the card.

You that you are enjoying all the red, white and blue cards this year!

American Flag Card

When I saw the K&Company stickers I knew I had to have some. (I try not to buy stickers because I always seem to have some leftover.  But I couldn't resist these.)

I started out with blue and red ribbon and added a red foil border.

As you can see, I only used one really BIG sticker, the FLAG!  It's such a cool sticker and it's 3-D.

Close Up!

Thanks for stopping by!  Take care and hope to see you tomorrow!
