Flower and Music Card

Hi everyone and welcome to Labor Day Weekend!  I hope that yo have something fun and safe planned!  I plan to sleep!  Yea!

Today's card uses some Penny Black paper which I love love love!  Penny Black makes this wonderful paper in both a brown/tan and a white.  The papers are embossed in gold with either a flower motif, music, writing (which I really love) or a flourish.  My card uses the tan music. (Of course I have all the papers. These designs are not new at all. AND I am SO glad that the company keeps producing them.)

Can you see why I like this paper so much?

The label on the lower right is blank.  I haven't decided what saying to stamp on it yet.

Sending Smiles Tulip Card

Hi everyone and welcome to September!  Can you believe that it's September already? I can't!  This year has flown by.  Just think....Halloween is in two months!  Time to get out my pumpkin punches and my Christmas papers!  YIKES!

Today's card is a simple one.  I liked the flower die so much I thought I would make another card.  I made this one with my dad in mind.  He is a big fan of my work (I think its a dad requirement, don't you think so?).

I used a kraft card base (yes!  I found 8 1/2 x 11 kraft cardstock at Kelly Paper. )  The black "trellis" is actually half a die cut from Cheery Lynn. You can find them here.  To understand how these dies function, you should watch their video at the bottom of the page.  Be prepared.  These dies are gorgeous!
